If you have been following my work on social media lately, you will know I have admiration and a fascination with Orca. Their superior intelligence and mystery has always intriguing me. When I was a teenager I was surfing at my local break Ōakura Beach in Taranaki. And just on dark a pod of Orca came through. The pink and purple hues of the sunset glistening on their dorsal fins as they breached for air will be forever one of my favourite home town memories. Through this piece I wanted to capture my connection to the universe, land, ocean and life.
